The William & Mary collection of woody plants gradually developed over the rich history of our College, inspired by our academic predecessors who wished to beautify the landscape and create a living laboratory for teaching and research.
Our campus is home to over 300 cultivated species including some of the oldest horticultural specimens in the United States and a diverse collection of native species.
In spring 2024, we will begin to catalogue and showcase our green heritage through the Arboretum Explorer.
